Tamsin Baker Introduces 'Getting A Raise'

Please join me today in welcoming over Tamsin Baker. Tamsin is a fellow Evernight Author and she's kindly agreed to share an excerpt of her new story, Getting A Raise with us.

Getting A Raise is part of Evernight's Romance On The Go line and as such is an M/M short story. Check out the blurb, an excerpt and some (frankly hot!) cover art below.

Convinced by the cover art alone? You can grab your copy at Evernight Publishing now, but I promise you, this excerpt is definitely worth a read.

Blurb
Nick is the most beautiful, successful, amazing man—just ask his executive assistant Tayte.

Tayte’s been in love with his boss from the moment he set eyes on him. But two years working with him and Tayte isn’t even sure Nick is gay.

But it’s time for his contract evaluation and Nick wants to give Tayte more than just a raise.

Excerpt

It took Tayte ten minutes to walk to his car, then another fifteen to drive to Nick’s place and find a place to park.

When he stepped up to the intercom on the outside of the expensive apartment block his heart was pounding a hundred mile a minute.

He pressed the apartment number and waited, thrusting his hands into his suit pant pockets.

“Come on up.” Nick’s voice came through the speaker and a loud buzzing ensued.

Tayte grabbed at the door handle and pulled hard, not wanting to look ridiculous by asking Nick to do it again.
He rode the lift up, his belly unsettled and excited. He shouldn’t be nervous. They’d already had sex. What else was going to happen?

He walked up to apartment twenty-seven. How many times had he thought about this moment? He’d made up a hundred excuses in his head, scenarios where he’d end up at Nick’s apartment at ten o’clock at night and they’d make out, or something.

He laughed as he knocked on the door and hung his head in shame. When did reality ever beat a fantasy?

“Never.” He muttered beneath his breath just before the door swung open.

“I’m just cooking a steak. You want one?”

Nick was topless, in jeans, and holding a pair of tongs.

“I love you.”

Did I just say that? Oh fuck!

Nick just laughed and waved him in. “I’ll take that as a yes.”

Tayte wandered in, half transfixed by the sight of Nick’s gorgeous arse moving in his blue denim and the other half salivating over the smell of cooking steaks.

He walked down a hallway and stepped into a massive open plan living space.

“Wow,” Tayte said as he walked toward the floor to ceiling windows showing off a magnificent view of the city. “What a view.”

“Yeah, thanks. It was the main reason I bought this apartment. Some of the other ones were bigger, but the view sold me on this place.”

Tayte nodded and continued to stare. Wow. On a clear morning you’d be able to see all the way to the docklands.

“Medium rare okay for you?” Nick asked and Tayte turned around to face his chef for the evening. His belly rumbled in response and he rubbed over the loud sound.

“Yes please.”

Nick had set the glass table for two and set two plates down, each with a steak, a handful of green beans, and some garlic bread.

“You want anything else?” Nick asked as he unscrewed the top on a bottle of red wine and poured a couple of glasses. “Unless you want a beer instead?”

Tayte shook his head and swallowed hard.

“No, that’s great.”

They sat down opposite each other and picked up their wine glasses.

“Cheers and welcome,” Nick said with a relaxed smile, inclining his glass toward Tayte’s.

“Oh, yeah. Thanks.” Tayte moved his glass forward clumsily and the crystal clanged with a ricocheting racket.

“Fuck. Sorry.” Tayte grabbed onto his wine goblet to still the noise and gulped down some of the peppery red. He was seriously stuffing this up.

“No stress.” Nick smiled again before he too drank some of his wine. “Dig in.”

Tayte stared down at his eye fillet and picked up his utensils. How much more of a spazz could he be? He cut into his steak, red juices oozing from the center.

“It’s probably closer to rare, than medium,” Nick said as Tayte put a piece in his mouth and groaned as paradise exploded across his tongue.

“Good?” Nick asked, expectation and pleasure already present in his blue eyes.

“Hmmm, mmmm,” Tayte responded, swallowing then continuing to devour the eye fillet that was cooked to perfection. “Wow.” He sighed when he’d finished, reaching for the accompanying carbohydrate and inhaling the fumes. He loved garlic bread, especially one slathered in butter.

“You got plans for the weekend?” Nick asked.

The boss was making small talk! Now that was a first

J.J.Lore - I Happen To Like Nice Men

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Please allow me to introduce you to J.J. Lore

J.J. is here to share with us a few details about her latest release, Forbidden: Planet Alpha, published by Evernight Publishing , but first, let's get you all introduced.

J. J. Lore - A Short Biography
J. J. Lore needs three things; strong, black coffee, time to write, and…well…you can guess the third. When she isn’t inventing fantastical tales filled with passionate people, she’s shaking sriracha on whatever she’s eating or reading about the Justinian plague.

For updates on her erotic romance releases, visit her at http://www.jjlore.com/ She’s also on Facebook and Twitter @JJLore1

Well, now that we have the formalities out of the way I think all that's left for me to say is, J.J. please take the floor!

'I Happen To Like Nice Men'

Ten points to anyone who recognizes that movie quote.

Anyone?

It’s Princess Leia trying to chide Han Solo in the Empire Strikes Back, and the first time I saw that scene I had an ah-ha moment in my pre-teen head. First, Han Solo was really cute and I wished I could hitch a ride on the Millennium Falcon, and the second was that I too, liked nice men. I’ve never been interested in the bad boy, the tough guy, or the man with something to prove. Nope, show me a guy who is decent, kind, and please-please-please, be in a good mood sometimes. That’s the guy I want to get to know.

All the heroes I’ve written have been nice guys at the core. They are strong, brave, and might occasionally have short tempers, but they never treat people with disrespect or disregard. There’s a simple reason for that beyond my own inclinations. When you write fiction, it requires immersion in your characters. They get in your head as you try to get into theirs, and I simply can’t have a mean person chattering away at my subconscious for the time it takes to write a book. There are too many mean people in real life; I don’t need to invite one to take up residence in my brain. If I don’t fall a little in love with my guys, how can I expect the reader to?

That sort of prerequisite might sound funny when you find out I write about a race of warrior aliens, males who love to fight and conquer and like nothing better than lopping an enemy’s head off. Not exactly nice guys on the surface. But I looked deeper and realized that to be a successful warrior, you need devotion to a just cause and to live by a code of honor, not just wield big muscles and bloodlust. So in the Planet Alpha books, my warriors are tough and rough, but they also stand up for their comrades and fall hard for their mates.

Blurb

Working to heal wounded Alphan warriors is the new duty of bondmates Leo and Deklan. Although recovered from severe injuries received on the field of battle, they are no longer fit to fight. Their orderly, all-male existence is turned upside down when an injured human female becomes their new responsibility.

Aura Tremain wakes up in an alien hospital, healing from a beating delivered by the scaly Xyrans who’d kidnapped her. Upon her discharge, two handsome Alphan men offer her refuge until she’s well enough to travel.

Even though Leo and Deklan know they will never be permitted to bond with Aura as their souls demand, they can’t ignore the desire she stirs in them. Her time with them is short, but so intense. Will the intimacies they share be strong enough to withstand the expectation that bondmates are for battle-worthy warriors? Can their passion bind the three of them forever?

Excerpt

It was strange to wake up in a bed with an alien male, no, two alien males, she amended. She glanced over to see Leo was still asleep, sprawled on his belly, his head cradled on his bent arm. Lots of thick muscles under gleaming skin on display. They both looked so strong.

She turned her head back to Deklan and jumped with surprise to find him watching her with half-closed, sleepy eyes.

“Sleep well?” he whispered.

She nodded. Deklan’s eyes crinkled at the corners. He inhaled and stretched his arms over his head with a sigh, inadvertently dislodging the sheet even further down his body. He was wearing dark pants so there wasn’t much more she could see, not that she should be looking any further. She couldn’t quite take her eyes off him, though. As he lowered his arms, the one closest to her nudged along her shoulder and coasted down her arm, his large hand finally coming to rest next to hers.  He edged closer and watched her for a moment. She could feel the heat of his body.

“Do I look very different?”

“Different than what?” Aura whispered back, unwilling to disturb Leo when he’d been so kind to her.

“A human male. I’ve never seen one in the flesh nor seen a human female until the ship landed.”

“You look different. Bigger, stronger. Your skin is…” She trailed off, not quite sure how to put her newfound affinity for gold.

“Is what?” Deklan rubbed his hand along his chest, bumping over swells of muscle, disturbing the fine black hairs tapering down his abdomen. His voice was rough, and the timbre of it vibrated some previously unknown part of her ear.

“It’s beautiful.” Her honest assessment resulted in a disbelieving smile from the Alphan lounging next to her.

“It serves its purpose. I’d never call it beautiful, especially compared to yours.” Deklan glanced at her face, then her shoulders and arms exposed by the borrowed tank she’d worn to sleep. She knew she was blushing since her face was so hot. In an effort to compose herself, she looked over at Leo to find he was still deeply asleep, unmoving from when she’d last seen him.

A large hand sliding along her arm brought her attention back to Deklan to find he’d edged closer and turned so he was curving against her now. Maybe he was just affectionate in the morning, maybe—

The sudden press of a hard cock against her hip made her shiver. At least, she assumed the hard, warm shaft she could feel through her thin clothing was a cock. Deklan was alien, so perhaps his equipment was different. Although why he’d be aroused in proximity to her was a mystery. Perhaps he was similar to a man and this was just the usual morning reaction.

“Your skin is so smooth and soft,” he murmured as he ran his fingertips along her hip, then her belly, cloth bunching up under his fingers, exposing some skin at her waist. The slight parting of fabric made her shiver, made warmth spike into heat along her nerves. “Not frightened?”

“No,” she whispered, caught up in the intensity of his gaze, the sheer sensual pleasure of having someone touch her.

Spanish Heat is now available for early download from

Spanish Heat will be available at all good ebook retailers from August 22nd... BUT, you can pick up your copy now by heading over to Totally Bound's website! And what's more, it is very reasonably priced! A steal at £2.50 (less than a decent cup of coffee, if you can manage to find a decent cup of coffee anymore!).

On Totally Bound's website you can download the format of your choosing, so you can read Spanish Heat on whatever device you've committed yourself too.

And oh, look, here's the blurb and the cover (that guy on the right, though... it's not just me, is it?)

Jack is looking for a new job and a fresh start, but he finds more than he expected waiting for him under the Spanish sun.

Blurb

When Jack Campbell is unceremoniously dumped in favour of his high school best friend, he decides he needs a fresh start.

He sees an advertisement in The Times. Clark Thomas is looking for a house sitter for his villa in Marbella. In a slightly inebriated state Jack applies, seeing this as the perfect chance to get away from his troubles at home in Glasgow but when he lands in Spain, he finds a lot more than a just job opportunity waiting for him.

Clark has one weekend to show Jack the ropes before he leaves Spain and the memories of his own recent break-up behind for the next nine months, but there’s just something about Jack. Instead of explaining the finer points of Jack’s contract, Clark finds himself introducing the young Glaswegian to some of his favourite Andalucian haunts, and he’s spending more time doing so than is strictly necessary.

There must be something in the Spanish air; all too soon Clark and Jack find themselves struggling to maintain the boundaries of their employer/employee relationship. Jack is behaving in ways he never has before, but knowing that what he is doing is probably wrong doesn’t stop it from feeling right, and might just be about to cause Jack a bigger problem when Monday morning comes around and it is time for Clark to leave.

Raven McAllan Introduces...

Well, yesterday I promised you that the lovely Raven McAllan would be back with us again today, and I always keep my promises! (Just take my word for that. Don't ask my exes...)

This morning, Raven has come to tease us with the blurb and an excerpt from her new release (Out today!) Miss Simpkins School: Jane (published by Breathless Press)

Raven, take the floor!

Miss Simpkins' School for Seduction…
Where seduction is the game, and success is the aim.
This is Jane's story.

Take one virginal widow, add Molly Simpkins' School of Seduction and one obliging gentleman, and what do you get? Scandal avoided and a virgin no more?

Molly Simpkins' School for Seduction has helped many ladies of the ton to achieve their hearts desires, so helping Lady Jane Nicholby ought to be easy.
However this young widow's deep, dark secret means she can never remarry for fear of the scandal it would cause. Widows are not supposed to be virgins, after all.
Fortunately, Molly knows just the person to help her change this state of affairs. Persuading Luke De Freitas to fall in with her plans, however, will require all of her considerable skill.

A spot of blackmail should do the trick quite nicely…

And a wee tease...

She mistrusted the gleam in his eyes and the smile on his face. Not in an apprehensive way, because there was no malice in his expression. More a full on, sensual, wicked, "guess what's going to happen next" way. Her juices collected at the neck of her womb and nigh on gushed out of her. With more haste than finesse, Molly held her arms out.

"Good girl."

Girl? He has hit his head perchance? I haven't been a girl for nigh on twenty years. Molly decided she liked it though. The warm look he gave her hinted of all things delicious, and the way he jerked the cravat up over his head before he brought it down and wrapped it round her wrists twice made her shiver in anticipation.

"Do you trust me, Molly? Trust me to give you everything you want and need? For it's many a year since we were intimate and times change. We have changed and you have no way of knowing who I now am, nor what I have become, other than by second hand knowledge." Charles spoke in a serious manner as he knotted the cloth around her wrists and left two long ends dangling.

"Isn't that the same thing, want and need?" She ignored the second half of his pronouncement and honed in on the first.

"Oh no, not by a long shot. You know what you want. I know what you need. Believe me, they are not synonymous. Do you trust me?"

Molly gulped. His face was serious, his voice calm, and only a very faint tremor in his hand showed how he was affected and how much rested on her answer. He was only partially right in his surmise though. Ash had talked about him both during and after their long liaison. Ashley knew Molly and Charles had been close friends, found out how close when he and Molly first came together, and had taken pains to keep her up to date about Charles' solitary life. The only thing he hadn't mentioned had been Miranda. That had been a shock, but it mattered not. She would trust Charles as implicitly as she trusted Ash.

"Of course. Did I not let you bind me? That takes more faith than you will ever know. I don't give up my freedom easily." Molly lifted her tied wrists and let her fingers trail down his arm. "Take me, Charles. Show me what I need and let me be yours." The unspoken words, "just for this once," hung in the air.

Raven McAllan - An Interview

When my first release with Evernight Publishing came out last year (a short story called A Secret Love) Raven McAllan was one of the first authors who really welcomed me to the Evernight family.

Raven is a fellow Scot and a wonderful writer (as well as Evernight, she has been published by Breathless Press, Totally Bound Publishing and Just Ink Press). I am delighted she has agreed to come over to my little blog to allow me to probe her (naughty!) with some hard (minds out of the gutter, please) and not-so-hard hitting questions. So, Raven. Let's get down to business. ;-)

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
This is the hard bit. I never know what to say. Hi I’m Raven. I live in Scotland with my DH. Our kids have grown up and moved away, so we rattle around in a house much too big for us. However, we live on the edge of a Forest, and I sit in my study and watch birds, wildlife and the occasional lost tourists meander past. (It’s a one track road that goes by our house, and disintegrates into a track a few yards further on, so why people think it’s the main road to the city I have no idea.)

I’m refusing to grow old gracefully, and enjoying every minute of it.

I love traveling, fine wine and a good book. I hate liver and midges, especially midges. They’re not called the scourge of Scotland for nothing.

Let’s start with the basics. Why write?

Why not? No let’s be serious here. I can’t imagine not writing. I was an only child but never lonely. I had my imagination, and was always making up stories for my dolls. Then when I had children, bed time stories always seemed to be ‘one of mum’s’. It was a step further to put them down on paper I guess. It’s part of me.

If I couldn’t write there would be a great big hole where my writing should be. Even on holiday I try to write a few words every day. If I don’t know I can spend an hour sorting my characters out I get twitchy. And long haul flights are great for writing, even if you do get your WIP read when you leave your seat to go to the loo.

And why did you write this book? Why now?
I started the Dommissima series because I was interested about what BDSM means to people. I’d heard so many conflicting ideas, and so many arguments, I thought hold on. Who dares tell me what I do is right, wrong or indifferent? How you and your partner define what you do is up to you, and no one else. It’s no one else’s business. No two people will ever see it the same way, and to me that’s how it should be.

Then this got me thinking, what if you couldn’t agree with your partner what works, or you couldn’t articulate what you do and don’t want? That started the first book Master. A short story about the club hit me ( The Girl on the Bus). Then a secondary character from Master, Athol insisted on having his story told (A Dom’s Decision) and now Nina’s Dom is about someone who makes a very brief appearance in A Dom’s Decision.

Each book, I hope, explores what BDSM or kink or, yes even vanilla, means to people. I’m convinced there’s a little bit of kink in all of us, even if your kink is having no kink.

I had no idea that Nina would be so insistent on having her story told, but once she shouted, I knew I had to act. Now I hope people will like it.

Are you ever conscious of wanting to share a message through your work? If so, what is it?

I would just like people to finish it and think 'Ahhh'. That’s so nice. Or even just make them think about something they hadn’t paid attention to before. I write for entertainment, and a chance to get away from all the worries and tribulations of everyday life.

If I gave you permission to rewrite the first book you ever had published, would you?

You mean The Story of Rumple Rabbit? *giggle* That was written for my kids when they were little and a friend illustrated it for me.

Wallflowers Don’t Wilt? The first adult book published? I love the premise of the story, but I could write it better now, so yes, probably.

Are you the same author now as you were when you started?

Not at all. I hope I write better now. I’m learning all the time. I push myself out of my comfort zone almost constantly as I strive to be a better author. That sounds incredibly pretentious and up my own A**, but I listen and, I hope, learn from editors and readers.

It’s Friday night and I’m going to give you two hundred quid to spend getting up to whatever mischief you want. Which of your characters are you going to take with you and what are you going to do?

I’m taking Raig from The Price to Pay, and we’re going to his fairground to, ahem, ride the roundabout…Then it’s out to a local chippie for Gluten-Free Fish and Chips. Before you say ‘cheap date’ I want a bottle of Dom Perignon 2004 with them!

And finally. In a world where you and your characters co-exist, who would be your best friend, and whose invitation to dinner keeps getting lost in the mail?
Athol would definitely be a best friend (A Dom’s Decision), and Vairi from The Price to Pay

Hmm lost invitations… Well I would have said someone from my YA I write as J. Lilley, a guy Called Struan Scott, who is not a nice person in The Shalean Moon series. But as I’m writing about him in a NA, and I think he might be about to redeem himself, I’m a bit stuck. I have to like something about my characters or I can’t do them justice. Mind you Gussie in the Behind Closed Doors Series I wrote with Lee Brazil isn’t a nice person, so let’s say her.

I'd like to thank Raven so much for stopping by. It's been a real pleasure, as always!

If you fancy learning more about Raven and her extensive back catalogue, you can pay her a visit over on her own little corner of the internet here and you can join us both back here tomorrow when Raven will be sharing a teaser from her new release 'Miss Simpkins' School: Jane'.

See you tomorrow, Raven!

The Bucket List

When Kade Doherty gets dumped, his friends write him a bucket list, but nobody mentioned that following it would result in Kade meeting a man who seems intent on turning his world upside down.

Hello everyone,

I am absolutely delighted to be able to announce that my new novella, The Bucket List, will be released by Loose-Id Publishing on August 5th, 2014.

The Bucket List tells the story of Kade and Blake.

It's a story I started writing over a year ago, but only finished at the start of this summer. (I think it might still appear in my WIPs folder on this blog titled 'Asian Supermarket' - catchy name for a novella, eh?) Anyway, it's done now and it's a very different beast from the original story I started writing all those months ago.

I'm so happy that The Bucket List has found a great home with Loose-Id. I look forward to sharing more excerpts and updates with you all soon, but for now, I'll leave you with the blurb and the cover art. Just, you know... if you fancy taking a look!

Blurb

When Kade Doherty gets dumped, he expects sympathy from his friends. Instead, he gets a bucket list. His friends want to help him enjoy life again, but Kade isn’t convinced a list of outlandish leisure pursuits will help much with that. To keep the peace he goes along with the plan and in the process, he meets Blake.

Blake’s Australian accent and surfer-boy looks are the stuff of sexual fantasies and Kade surprises everyone – including himself – when he wastes no time making a move.

Kade goes with Blake into the Scottish highlands, but just as he is beginning to get used to life with his very own Mr. Australia, reality comes knocking. Kade’s newfound happiness falls apart when his abusive ex demands they meet. Blake senses something is wrong and he wants to help, but Kade knows he can’t confide in Blake.

After all, Kade hasn’t exactly been honest. He might feel like a different man when he’s with Blake, but Kade knows he’s still just an accountant from Glasgow with slight obsessive compulsions and a bucket list that someone else wrote. He knows Blake won’t hang around, let alone help, when he finds out the truth.

Or will he?

Broken Neon - Another Cheeky Excerpt!

Hello everyone,

You'll remember that yesterday I had the lovely Tyler Robbins over to visit my blog. (If you missed it, just scroll on down!) Tyler has very kindly left me a second excerpt from her latest release Broken Neon to share with you all today.

Remember that up until the 21st of July, Evernight Publishing are donating the full amount of any book sold through their own website to World Vision's Education for Girls Fund.

Around the world, 57 million primary-school-age children are not enrolled in school. Of this number, 53% are girls. These children are at a much higher risk of exploitation, and stand a much lower chance of ever gaining well-paid employment that would allow them to help lift themselves, and their families, out of poverty.

With Evernight Publishing's donations you can make a real difference to the lives of children all around the world, just buy buying a book! All ebook formats are available for purchase and download on Evernight's website.

I know I'm preaching to the choir a bit here so please bear with me (or bare with me if you like!). I want to re-iterate this because it really is a great cause.

All of us, authors and readers alike, know the value of education, even just for the sake of enjoyment, and someone much smarter than me did once say that the person who never reads lives only one life. Those who read books live thousands. I like that quote, and I really like what Evernight are doing, so if there's a book you've had your eye on for a while, or a new release like Tyler's Broken Neon that you fancy trying out, then up until the 21st really is a great time to do add those books to your to-be-read pile!

Anyway, once again, I'll leave you in peace. Enjoy another excerpt from Zane and Finn's (very hot!) story!

Blurb

Country music singer, Zane Alexander has struggled to keep his sexuality a secret, but hiding his attraction to their new guitarist, Finn Presswood, is damn near impossible.

On the run from a dangerous ex-lover, Finn has secrets of his own, but his feelings for Zane isn’t one of them.

When the new song they co-wrote leads to a recording contract with a major Nashville label, it becomes clear that their lives are about to change. Unfortunately, secrets are harder to hide in the limelight, so Zane fake-dating a famous supermodel whose career is on the line as well, seems like the best solution for everyone.

Their dreams are finally within their grasp until Finn’s past catches up, and no matter how much the two men love each other, happiness is never guaranteed.

If good intentions pave the road to hell, then broken neon paves the road to Nashville.

And here's that second excerpt Tyler and I promised you -

Finn’s lids lowered to half-mast and his nostrils flared. His cheek flamed red, and the emotion boiling under his skin became nearly tangible. “I don’t want you involved with this. I have to leave. If I don’t…” Finn clenched his jaw as his eyes glistened in the dark.

“If you don’t what?”

His breathing accelerated. The veins running up and down his neck stuck out, and his entire body tensed. “If I don’t, I’ll only bring you trouble. That’s what the Presswood boys do best. We bring trouble.”

Zane inched closer. “I can handle any kind of trouble you got.” He slid his hand up the side of Finn’s neck and cupped his jaw. “Trust me.” He moved slow, so slow he thought he might never taste Finn’s lips again as he cautiously leaned in for a kiss.

Finn didn’t back away. He stood frozen, his body hard and rigid with his jaw ticking adamantly. His body said no, but as Zane stared deep into his lover’s eyes, he could see the burn. The heat he’d felt so many times. The same yearning that Zane himself had been overwhelmed by the last few weeks. That fire only Finn could make him feel was right there, glaring back at him, begging to be stoked.

He paused centimeters from Finn’s lips, and inhaled his unmistakable scent. “For fuck’s sake, say it.”

Finn’s bottom lip quivered, and his crushed expression made Zane’s heart ache. “I love you.”

As the words left Finn’s mouth, Zane inhaled them as though they were oxygen. He pressed his lips to Zane’s, gently parted them, then ventured in, slow and sure until Finn sucked him in further, kissing him in return.

Finn hugged him close, his head shifting from side to side as their tongues tangled and swirled. He lowered one hand to Zane’s crotch and rubbed up and down, exciting Zane even more.

His cock throbbed when Finn dipped his hand inside his jeans. He scrambled to unfasten them, allowing Finn to have his way.

Finn pulled Zane’s cock from his boxers and immediately lowered to his knees. Finn’s warm, wet mouth felt like heaven as he licked, slurped and suckled the crown. Slip-sliding his tongue up and down the shaft, Zane’s heart pounded.

He eased down onto the sofa, careful not to create a void between his cock and the confines of Finn’s luscious mouth. That probably wouldn’t have happened anyway with the way Finn gripped Zane’s cock at the base.

Zane thrust himself upward forcing his cock deeper, scraping the back of Finn’s throat. He watched, enthralled with the care Finn took sucking him off. His technique had purpose, and his grunts and moans indicated he enjoyed pleasuring Zane as much as Zane enjoyed being pleasured.

He combed his fingers through his lover’s hair. “Look at me, baby.”

Finn’s gaze drifted upward with his cheeks hollowed out, his lips glistening with Zane’s juices, and sounds of their heavy breaths surrounded them.

“So fucking beautiful.”

Finn titled his head to the side, eyes still locked onto Zane’s, and he wrapped his tongue up the length of Zane’s shaft. When he reached the tip, Finn rose up, crawling higher until his lips met Zane’s.

The kiss was wet and sweet as Zane tasted his own pre-cum.

Their bodies mashed together as they writhed on the narrow sofa. “My room.”

“No.” Finn shook his head. “I want you here. Now.”

Well... that was hot! If you want more (and don't we always?) you can get your hands on a copy of Broken Neon at any of the following ebook retailers.

Tyler Robbins Introduces 'Broken Neon'

If good intentions pave the road to hell, then broken neon paves the road to Nashville

Today, I am delighted to welcome Tyler Robbins to my little corner of the internet. Tyler, like myself, is part of the Evernight family and we are celebrating her new release Broken Neon

Below, you will find out everything you need to know about country music singer Zane Alexander and his guitarist Finn Presswood, the stars of Broken Neon - there's even a racy excerpt for you to enjoy, and another one to follow tomorrow! - but before I let Tyler take the floor, there's something I would like to add.

This week (July 14th to 21st) Evernight Publishing are donating the full amount of each book purchased from their website to World Vision's Education for Girls Fund.

Evernight want to help give the gift of education to the millions of primary-school aged girls across the world who are not currently enrolled in school. So, if you pick up your copy of Broken Neon from the Evernight Publishing website before the 21st of July (all formats available), not only will you be treating yourself, but you'll be helping to give someone else a better chance in life. That's not a bad deal, is it?!

Okay, Tyler. Take it away!

Excerpt
(Tune in tomorrow for another cheeky excerpt from Broken Neon!)

As he crossed the threshold, he tossed his hat onto the table and made a beeline to the mini-fridge. The door closed behind them, but Zane paid it little mind as he bent down to retrieve two cold beers. When he turned around, his heart skipped a beat.

Finn stood directly behind him, his shirt already unbuttoned and his jaw flexed taut. The hungry look in Finn’s eyes made Zane’s cock swell.

“Shit.” Zane let the bottles of beer fall to the floor as Finn moved in.

Their teeth clanked together from the voracious kiss, igniting the explosive passion that had been building between them. Tongues tangled, battling for domination, while clothes and boots flew about the room.

“I’ve wanted this…” Finn panted. “So fucking long.”

“Shut the hell up.” Zane shoved Finn back onto the bed and crawled up the length of him.

Zane felt Finn’s hardened cock jam into his side, and he reached down to stroke it without hesitation.

Finn pushed Zane’s hand away and flipped him over, then glared down into his eyes. “You better make this last.” Finn’s gravelly tone only added to the need pulsing through Zane’s cock.

He kissed Finn’s shoulder and chest as he dug his nails into Finn’s back.

Finn winced and kissed Zane even harder, rocking his groin against Zane’s thigh.

Pre-cum seeped from Finn’s thick shaft, dampening Zane’s skin. He swallowed hard, wanting nothing more than to lick the crown clean. He gripped Finn’s cock, and stroked it, causing Finn to bite down on Zane’s bottom lip as they kissed.

Zane reciprocated by sucking Finn’s lip into his mouth, while his mind ventured to thoughts of what he’d rather be sucking. The desire surprised Zane a little. Usually, he was the one being pleasured, but this was different. Zane wanted to get Finn off so badly, he could taste it.

He pushed up on Finn’s shoulders and kissed his way down his chest.

Finn rolled off and lay on his back. He ran his fingers through Zane’s hair and moaned as Zane moved lower. The sound excited Zane even more. His own cock ached. His need for release intensified with each blood-surging pulse.

Zane gripped Finn’s shaft firmly then wrapped his tongue around the crown.

Finn shuddered.

Salty sweetness coated Zane’s taste-buds. He tongue fucked the slit, searching for every drop Finn had to offer.

“Feels so fucking good.” Finn writhed and pulled Zane’s hair.

Zane swallowed Finn’s shaft. His eyes and mouth watered as each bob of his head plunged deeper. He flattened his tongue along Finn’s cock and lapped his satiny flesh like an ice cream cone.

Finn groaned and grabbed Zane’s arm, tugging him upward until they were chest to chest once again. He peered down into Finn’s eyes as they hugged each other close. Zane had missed this feeling. This connection. This sense of giving himself to someone. He hadn’t shared this kind of mutual intimacy since before he started singing professionally, and even that was nothing more than teenage infatuation.

Finn’s eyelids lowered to half-mast. “Don’t stop.”

The urgency in Finn’s tone fueled Zane’s resolve. He’d take his new lover all the way to the other side. Past the point of no return. All of Zane’s previous doubts faded fast. “Once I have you, I might not want to let you go.”

He’d tried so hard to deny himself this pleasure. Kept it hidden, only allowing a few stolen moments with someone he’d paid to deliver, but none of that compared to letting his guard down and really indulging.

“We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.”

Zane leaned in and kissed him tenderly, savoring the feel of Finn’s lips pressed to his. The taste of his tongue and the warmth of his body fused to his own. This was exactly what Zane had wanted for so long.

If Zane were ever able to offer a man everything, Finn Presswood could damn sure be the man he’d give it to.

Business or Pleasure in the Spanish Heat!

Business or Pleasure (formerly published by Silver Publishing) is being re-released on August 22nd as...

Spanish Heat!

Guys, this is the exciting news that I have so been looking forward to sharing with you all!

In April 2013, Silver Publishing released my story, 'Business or Pleasure'. The story follows Jack, a young man who accepts a house-sitting job in Spain to get away from life back in Glasgow. But when he arrives in Andalucia, he finds a lot more than he expected waiting for him in the form of his hot new employer, Clark Thomas.

I was so proud of this story, but after the difficulties at Silver the rights were returned to me this summer and I am so pleased to be able to announce that Jack and Clark have found a new home thanks to the kind people at Totally Bound Publishing.

The story has been re-titled (Spanish Heat!), re-edited and will be re-released on August 22nd. I hope this is a great opportunity for these characters to be able to share their stories with a new readership.

I'll be posting a blurb and extract on this blog soon, but if you want to find out more you can check it out on Totally Bound's website and on my other blog ... I have two blogs. Didn't I tell you?

For now I just wanted to share this news with you. I think I'll leave the cover art hanging around... ooh... here, I think...

I don't know about you, but I've already fallen in love with Clark (the guy on the right!)

And, you know, while I'm here and rambling on, let me just point out that if you're the type of person who likes to jump to the start of the queue, Spanish Heat is currently available for pre-order (at the bargain price of £2.50) over at Totally Bound!

Happy Days!
